Greece

sifnosSifnos is one of the six islands that make up the Western Cyclades. It is wellknown both in Greece and abroad, for its unique and changeless traditional whitened buildings harmonising enchangly with the natural surroundings, for its remarkable cleanliness, for its countless churches and monasteries and its superb beaches.

The history of Sifnos began abot 3200B.C. and through the years it has been influenced by great civilizations, like the Minoan and the Mycenean civilization.

SivotaSyvota is a village in Thesprotia, Epirus. In antiquity, the location was called Sybota and was the site of the Battle of Sybota.

Syvota town is a well-developed resort, owing largely to the numerous pristine beaches with clear waters located on several islets immediately offshore.

SkiathosThe island of Skiathos belongs to the Northern Sporades group of islands (along with Skopelos, Alonissos, Skyros and some smaller islands around them), and the area is popular for sailing holidays, as it is not so exposed to the meltemi wind as the Cyclades.

The island is covered with pine-trees and boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in Greece. There are three harbours on the island and a small marina for yachts on one of the two islets called Tsougries that lie across the main harbour, on the south-east coast.

SkopelosOnly a few miles away from Skiathos, you can sail to the picturesque island of Skopelos. The capital and main port of the island , also called Skopelos , is on the east coast , and the second port, Loutraki, is on the west. The north-west coast is, as usually, more exposed to strong wind, so the beaches are on the south.

SkyrosSkyros belongs to the Sporades group, but it is further away east from the rest and has developed independently. Its morphology is quite interesting, as the island is almost divided into two parts by a narrow isthmus in the middle. The northern part is cultivated, whereas the southern is rocky and almost uninhabited.

SpetsesUnforgetable scenes of natural beauty are created by the harmonic combination of crystal clear waters and ageing pine trees. Countless picturesque coves, around the island offer visitors with moments of peace and tranquility. Either by land or sea various forms of transportation, make every part of the island fully accessible. A walk in the forest enables the visitors to experience the unique atmosphere of Spetses.

Symi

A lovely, mountainous island, Symi (or Simi) was reputed to be the birthplace of the Three Graces. While its interior is punctuated with small valleys, its coastline alternates between being steep and rocky or sandy and indented with little coves. The island took its name from the nymph Syme, who was Poseidon's wife.

SyrosSyros was the largest cultural and trade centre of the Agean in the 19th century and capital Ermoupolis was Greece's principal port. From the time of the Fourth Crusade (13th Century) until 1568 Syros belonged to the Duchy of Naxos.
